What people say about this experience.

"We joined Luis Miguel for a couple of birding tours and were thoroughly impressed. He is an excellent guide with a deep respect for nature. Unlike many others, he finds birds with the birds' well-being in mind. What sets Luis Miguel apart is his broad knowledge: not only birds, but also history, plants, orchids, frogs, and much more — something quite rare among birding guides. We highly recommend him! And to top it off, he speaks very good English."
"Luis-Miguel is THE most brilliant guide for any adventure (or even just a sedate tour) in the Manizales area. He is a complete fount of knowledge, as, not only does he know his own city (and the wonderful countryside around it) intimately, he's also a geologist and ornithologist. These latter two are invaluable, as Manizales has not only a great deal to offer in terms of rock formation (situated very close to the meeting of three tectonic plates, it's a very geologically active area of the planet, with the occasional earthquake, and plenty of volcanic excitement past and present to study). Its rare ecological mix (everything from lush tropical ecosystems in the valleys to cloud forest in the immediate area of the city, to the extremely rare páramo - Alpine tundra - in the higher mountains around the volcano Nevado del Ruiz makes for a vast variety of wildlife, particularly birds (several of which are species unique to the area), and Luis can tell you everything you need to know about these. He is a charming and helpful guide, thinking even of the small things (on our trip to the volcano, and the Hotel Termales del Ruiz, he brought sweets for the ear-popping as altitude increased, and even organised padlocks and keys for the lockers at the hot-spring pool). He also seems to have an inexhaustible contact list of people who can provide everything from coffee-making classes to traditional Colombian music. He is absolutely well worth everything!"
"We were very pleased with Luís Miguel and Escape Aventura. We had a wonderful time in La Cascada Los Frailes. He is very knowledgeable, bilingual and an avid bird enthusiast. We traveled with our 1 year old granddaughter and we felt safe and cared for. On top of that his photography skills are tops. We highly recommend them and will be booking another hike soon."
